Job Title: Nursery Practitioner
Location: Eastbourne
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time

Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner:

  • Support the learning and development of children aged 3–5 years in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, creative, and engaging activities.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that supports emotional and social development.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, sharing updates with parents and carers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to early education.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and confidence in young learners.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with additional needs in a school or similar setting is highly desirable.
  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to learning support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a willingness to undergo necessary checks.
  • Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or similar) are a bonus.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
