Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Eastbourne
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long Term

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Eastbourne. This role is ideal for someone who can create a positive learning environment and provide personalised support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities of SEN TA:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote social and emotional development.
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students (desirable).
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
