Key Responsibilities of the ICT Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).
  • Foster digital literacy and a love for computing through creative and practical teaching.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying levels of ability.
  • Prepare students for assessments, exams, and real-world digital applications.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including clubs or enrichment activities.
  • Maintain strong behavioural management and a positive classroom culture.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Specialism or strong experience in teaching ICT/Computer Science.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for education.
  • Ability to plan creative lessons that meet the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
