GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team at our vibrant and nurturing SEN school in Winchester.

About the School:
The school caters to children and young people with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing needs.

What you’ll be doing as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups with personalised learning
  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
  • Helping children regulate emotions, build trust, and feel secure
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and the wider team
  • Creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment every day

What we’re looking for in a SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred, not essential)
  • A calm, patient approach and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Someone who genuinely cares and is ready to make a difference

To work with GSL Education as a SEND Teaching Assistant, you should: 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
