Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Brighton
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Brighton. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils who require extra support with their learning, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive both socially and academically.

Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning strategies.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in a calm and proactive manner.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred).
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to support.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A full CV covering the past 10 years, with any gaps explained.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
