Teaching Assistant – Askern
Location: Askern, Doncaster
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time | Long-Term / Temp-to-Perm

Are you a caring and dedicated individual looking to make a positive impact in the classroom? GSL Education is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Askern (DN6) from September 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, whether you’re an experienced TA, recent graduate, or aspiring educator.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide academic and pastoral support to pupils. You may work with the whole class, small groups, or one-to-one, helping children stay focused, engaged, and confident in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in their learning across the curriculum

  • Assist with classroom activities and preparation of resources

  • Provide one-to-one or small group intervention when needed

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies

  • Offer emotional and social support to children as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable

  • A nurturing, patient, and positive attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK
