Location: Hull
Pay: £89 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Start Date: September 2025

Your Mission:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA), you’ll be a vital part of a team that helps students overcome barriers and thrive. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and families, you’ll help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing as SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to ensure consistent support
  • Encourage independence and confidence in students’ learning
  • Monitor and report on student progress and well-being
  • Foster a classroom environment where all students feel safe, valued, and included
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Support students’ emotional and behavioural needs with empathy and patience

What You Bring as SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)

  • Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
  • Additional training in areas such as autism, speech and language, or behaviour management is desirable but not essential
