About the Role

As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a vital role in enhancing teaching and learning across the school. You’ll collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, lead small group interventions, and occasionally take responsibility for whole-class instruction. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities of Level 4 Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons across various subjects
  • Lead small group and whole-class sessions to promote active learning
  • Provide targeted support to help students meet their learning objectives
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources
  • Monitor student progress and share feedback with teaching staff
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements for Level 4 Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a classroom setting, ideally in a senior TA role
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning across year groups

  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
