GSL Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join a dynamic school in Sheffield (S9). This is a fantastic opportunity for educators who are enthusiastic about technology and keen to make a lasting impact through engaging, future-focused teaching.
Responsibilities as a Computer Science Teacher:
- Deliver creative and structured lessons across Key Stages in line with the computing curriculum.
- Teach core computing topics including programming, algorithms, data representation, and cyber safety.
- Encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.
- Support pupils in developing practical coding skills using languages such as Python, Java, or HTML.
- Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities like coding clubs or robotics groups.
Requirements for Computer Science Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
- Proven experience teaching Computer Science in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong grasp of current computing curriculum and programming tools.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years, with all employment gaps explained.
