Pay Rate: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield starting September 2025.As a Design Technology Teacher, you will inspire students to build practical abilities and foster inventive thinking through engaging, hands-on activities and creative challenges.This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about developing students’ practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:

  • Provide engaging Design Technology lessons to pupils at multiple Key Stages.
  • Teach across areas such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, or Textiles depending on specialism.
  • Develop pupils' technical knowledge and practical skills using workshop tools and digital technologies.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in the classroom.
  • Track student progress and contribute to department planning and assessment.

Candidate Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology in a UK school setting.
  • Knowledge of current curriculum standards and assessment methods.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A detailed CV covering the past 10 years with all gaps clearly explained
