Pastoral Lead
Location: Crofton, WF4
Salary Range: £95 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join schools in Crofton, helping to guide and support pupils through their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
In this role, you will lead pastoral care initiatives, provide mentorship, and work closely with staff, students, and families to ensure each pupil feels safe, valued, and supported throughout their school journey.
What you have to do as a Pastoral Lead:
- Lead and coordinate the school’s pastoral care programmes.
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students facing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges.
- Work with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to develop tailored support plans.
- Monitor and report on student wellbeing and attendance.
- Promote a positive school culture that supports inclusion and resilience.
- Organise workshops and activities that develop pupils’ social and emotional skills.
- Liaise with parents and carers to maintain strong communication and support. Networks.
Pastoral Lead Qualification and Requirements:
- Experience working in pastoral care or student support or as a Pastoral Lead within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in counselling, mentoring, education, or youth work (desirable).
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
