Full-Time History Teacher in Southampton, Hampshire!

Responsibilities of History Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and insightful History lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, historical inquiry, and a love for learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and curiosity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the overall educational experience.
- Participate in school events, parent evenings, and ongoing professional development.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and support students’ personal and academic growth.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements for History Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.
- Experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and 4 (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
