SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Epworth
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term; Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Epworth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing environment and wants to contribute to creating a supportive atmosphere for students who need additional assistance.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
- Collaborating with the classroom teacher to ensure students receive appropriate educational and emotional support.
- Assisting in the development of personalised learning strategies and behaviour plans.
- Encouraging student participation and promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to staff and parents as needed.
SEN TA Candidate Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Education is preferred but not essential.
- A degree in Psychology, SEN, Counselling or a similar field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A calm, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting learning.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
