Full-Time English Teacher – Secondary School in Basingstoke
GSL Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school located in Basingstoke, who are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their team from October half term on a maternity cover contract. While initially fixed term, there is a strong possibility the role may develop into a permanent position.

The Role:
- Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
- A passion for language and literature, and a commitment to nurturing a love of learning
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A desire to make a lasting impact on pupils’ educational journeys
