Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Doncaster
Salary Range: £95 - £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join schools in Doncaster, supporting students who face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. This role is ideal for prisomeone with experience in youth work, behaviour support, or SEMH settings, who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning.

As a Behaviour Mentor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
  • Developing positive relationships with students to build trust and engagement
  • Supporting the emotional regulation and behaviour strategies of pupils.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
  • Promoting a calm, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
  • Helping to track progress and contribute to intervention planning.

Skills & Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A calm, consistent, and proactive approach to challenges.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
