Full-time KS2 Teacher – Primary School – Poole
Start Date: September 2025 | Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you an enthusiastic KS2 Teacher ready to guide Year 6 pupils through a pivotal year of their learning journey?
GSL Education are currently seeking a full-time KS2 Teacher to join a thriving and supportive primary school in Poole. The role, starting in September 2025, is for a Year 6 class and is open to both Early Careers Teachers and experienced educators. The successful candidate will lead the class through the final year of primary education, preparing them for SATs and transition to secondary school.
The school offers a friendly, collaborative working environment and is committed to the professional development of its staff. A school tour will be available ahead of the formal interview stage, with interviews taking place over the next few weeks.
Key Stage 2 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum, particularly for Year 6
- Prepare pupils for their end-of-year SATs assessments with confidence and rigour
- Provide targeted support to meet the varying abilities and needs of the class
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and resilience
- Collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders to ensure high standards of teaching and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing
KS2 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching KS2 pupils, ideally with Year 6
- Strong classroom management and excellent organisational skills
- Confidence in preparing children for national assessments
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
