Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Sheffield – S9
Pay Rate: £85 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking resilient and compassionate Behaviour Support Staff to work in a supportive school based in Sheffield (S9). In this role, you will work closely with students who display challenging behaviour, supporting them both in and out of the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping students overcome behavioural barriers to learning.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Staff:
- Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis with behaviour management.
- Help create a structured and consistent learning environment.
- Implement personalised behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional development.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Staff:
- Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs.
- A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
- Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
