Job Title: SEN Teacher

Salary: £160 - £250 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and dynamic school in Staveley. This is an exciting opportunity where your support will shape young lives in a meaningful and lasting way.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:

  • Deliver personalised learning plans for pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that encourages engagement and progress.
  • Implement strategies for emotional regulation and behaviour support in collaboration with the wider pastoral team.
  • Track and assess pupil progress, adjusting plans to meet evolving needs.
  • Work alongside support staff, therapists, and families to ensure each learner receives holistic support.
  • Promote confidence, independence, and social development among students.

Skills & Requirements for SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils in specialist or mainstream settings.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and SEND legislation.
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Empathetic, flexible, and committed to nurturing individual progress.
  • Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
