Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Epworth
Salary: £160 - £250 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Epworth. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to transform lives through tailored teaching and a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each pupil’s learning goals.
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to support holistic development.
  • Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching methods to meet evolving needs.
  • Support pupils' emotional and behavioural development alongside their academic growth.

Requirements of the SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; SEN specialism preferred.
  • Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies.
  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
