Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Chapeltown
Salary Range: £95 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are thrilled to invite an enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school community in Chapeltown. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a nurturing spirit, strong resilience, and a commitment to empowering young people.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support students who require additional guidance to help them engage positively in their education. You will be a vital role model, fostering trust and helping students develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-to-one and group interventions focused on behaviour improvement and emotional well-being.
- Create and maintain strong, supportive relationships with students to encourage positive changes.
- Develop personalised strategies to help students overcome social and emotional barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to create an inclusive and positive school culture.
- Support classroom engagement and contribute to a safe, structured learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing feedback with staff and families where appropriate.
- Promote resilience, respect, and personal growth at every opportunity.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, or in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of social, emotional, and behavioural needs in children and young people.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support vulnerable students.
- Resilient, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
- Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, psychology, or related fields are desirable.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
