Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)
Location: Crofton
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to work in a school based in Crofton. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of students who require additional social and emotional support.
Role Overview:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs, promoting emotional well-being and helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
Responsibilities as a SEMH TA:
- Support students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Promote emotional resilience, engagement, and positive behaviour.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering a nurturing and structured learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, therapists, and external agencies.
- Encourage students to achieve personal and academic goals.
Requirements for SEMH TA:
- Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour is essential.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- A calm, empathetic, and supportive approach.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
