Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)
Location: Epworth
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed and supportive SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to work in a specialist setting in Epworth. This is an opportunity to positively impact young lives while working in a structured, supportive environment.
Role Overview:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage with learning and build self-confidence in a nurturing and safe setting.
Responsibilities as a SEMH TA:
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual support plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
- Assist with classroom routines and create a structured learning environment.
Requirements for SEMH TA:
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or challenging behaviour is essential.
- A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to de-escalate difficult situations.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
