Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS
Location: St Leonards
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

A nurturing and inclusive school in St Leonards is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with additional needs. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s early development.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for EYFS pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist in implementing tailored learning plans and behaviour support strategies.
- Support children with social, emotional, and communication development
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and safe environment that encourages independence.
- Help with day-to-day classroom routines, activities, and personal care when required.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children in Early Years or in a SEN setting.
- A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
- Understanding of EYFS framework and child development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant TA or SEN qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
