Job Role: Speech and Language Therapist
School: A secondary school in Newham
Rate: £40,000 - £46,000 per annum
Start Date: Sep 2025
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding new role? GSL Education London Branch is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive and welcoming secondary school in Newham. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will:

  • Assess and support students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs

  • Create and deliver tailored intervention programmes

  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO and parents to support student progress

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student development

  • Provide advice and training to staff on supporting students’ communication skills

  • Contribute to meetings and reviews for students with EHCPs

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

  • Previous experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist in an educational setting is desirable

  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting students with diverse needs
