Location: Maidstone
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education Kent are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Maidstone starting September 2025. This is a part-time role, ideal for a skilled educator looking to make a meaningful impact across three days a week.

As a Religious Education Teacher, you will encourage students to explore philosophical, ethical, and religious issues, helping them develop critical thinking skills and an appreciation for diverse beliefs and cultures. You’ll be working within a well-established Humanities department committed to delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons.
As a Religious Education Teacher, your role will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging RE lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Supporting student development through effective assessment and feedback
- Encouraging respectful dialogue and thoughtful reflection among students
- Contributing to the development of schemes of work and resources
- Promoting inclusion and understanding across different faiths and worldviews
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
To be considered for the RE Teacher role, you must:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Have experience teaching Religious Education in UK secondary schools
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Be committed to inclusive education and student progress
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
