Location: Ashford
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)

We at GSL Education Kent are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a qualified DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) to join a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Ashford from September 2025.

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will bring creativity, precision, and innovation into the classroom. You’ll help students gain hands-on experience with tools and materials, understand the design process, and develop real-world skills that can lead to a variety of future career paths.
As a DT Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and practical DT lessons with a focus on resistant materials
- Preparing students for practical assessments and written examinations
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed in all workshop settings
- Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
- Collaborating with colleagues to foster a strong, supportive team environment
To be considered for the Design Technology Teacher role, you must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Design Technology, ideally with a focus on resistant materials
- Possess a strong understanding of workshop safety and hold (or be willing to gain) relevant health and safety certification
- Be creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated to inspiring students
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be committed to safeguarding and the welfare of all students
