Location: Ashford
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education Kent are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a qualified Teacher of Geography to join a forward-thinking and supportive school in Ashford starting in September 2025.

As a Teacher of Geography, you will play a key role in promoting curiosity about the world and helping students develop an understanding of key geographical concepts, global issues, and sustainability. You’ll be joining a department passionate about delivering high-quality education that connects classroom learning with real-world experiences.
As a Geography Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons that cater to students of varying abilities
- Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
- Encouraging students to think critically about the environment, societies, and global interdependence
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, and providing effective feedback
- Contributing to curriculum development and extra-curricular activities
- Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment
To be considered for the Geography Teacher role, you must:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting
- Be confident in lesson planning, classroom management, and curriculum delivery
- Demonstrate a passion for Geography and for fostering a love of learning in students
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
