Location: Newham
Salary: £90 - £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Long-term, full-time

About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our warm and inclusive school community. In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, including ADHD and students who may display self-harming behaviours.

  • Assisting across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to meet the diverse needs of pupils.

  • Helping create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

  • Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans.

  • Building trusting and supportive relationships that help students develop socially, emotionally, and academically.


What we’re looking for:

✅ Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar setting (preferred).
✅ Confidence and experience in supporting with nappy changing.
✅ A positive, proactive approach and ability to work well as part of a team.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✅ Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or education (desirable).
✅ A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection (essential).
