Teaching Assistant – SEN School in Wood Green

Location: Wood Green, N22 4HH
Daily Rate: £90 - £105 (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:15 am – 3:45 pm
Contract: Ad hoc / flexible supply work / Long term

GSL Education are seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming SEN school in Wood Green. This flexible, ad hoc role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in different settings and wants to make a real impact.

Your Role as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support children with Autism and a range of additional SEN needs.

  • Help implement personalised support plans and learning objectives.

  • Encourage students to develop essential life skills, including communication and social interaction.

  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

  • Monitor and record students’ progress, adjusting support as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Prior experience supporting children with SEN in an educational setting, or good understanding of SEN.
✅ Strong teamwork and communication skills.
✅ A patient, caring, and proactive approach focused on student wellbeing.
✅ An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
