Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Westminster
Salary: £150 to £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher looking to support students with additional learning needs in a specialist setting? GSL Education is seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher to work in a Special School in Westminster, supporting pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of SEN learners.
  • Use a range of strategies to manage behaviour and support emotional development in line with SEMH best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver individualised support plans.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching methods to ensure academic and social success.
  • Create an engaging, safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has prior experience working within SEN settings, ideally with MLD, ASC or SEMH pupils.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Possesses excellent communication, patience, and resilience.
  • Has a deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
