Secondary Teaching Assistant – Doncaster
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £85 – £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP

Support and Inspire Students in Secondary Education
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential? GSL Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Secondary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Doncaster. This is a brilliant opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of students at Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students remain focused and progress.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across a variety of subjects.

  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural needs, or additional learning requirements.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Encourage student participation, confidence, and independence in their learning.

  • Supervise students during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and school activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar setting.

  • A good understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behaviour management strategies is desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
