Primary Teaching Assistant – Scunthorpe
Salary: £88.94 to £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across a range of subjects and activities. You’ll help create a positive and engaging learning environment, provide tailored support to individual students, and contribute to the overall development of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities of Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom tasks.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to meet individual learning needs.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and emotional well-being.

Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience or relevant qualifications in education (desirable but not essential).

  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through us.
