Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant – Newham

Position Details:

  • Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Newham

  • Daily Rate: £90–£105

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract: Long-term

  • Working Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

✏️ What You’ll Do:

  • Support the school’s SEND provision, working with children with various special educational needs.

  • Provide 1:1 support tailored to individual student needs.

  • Be flexible and willing to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

  • Engage students to promote their social, emotional, and academic growth.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students.

  • Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of different students and classrooms.

  • Confidence working with students who may be hyperactive or display challenging behaviours.
