Job Title: Spanish Teacher
Location: Newham
Salary: £185 - £265 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long Term, Maternity Cover

An inclusive and high-performing school in Newham is seeking an enthusiastic Spanish Teacher for a maternity cover position starting September 2025. This is a long-term opportunity, offering a dynamic teaching environment and the chance to make a real impact on students' linguistic and cultural education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Spanish across various key stages.
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that develop language skills and cultural understanding.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
- Participate in departmental planning and extracurricular activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the Modern Foreign Languages department.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Spanish or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Spanish in a UK secondary school.
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- A passion for language education and cultural awareness.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
