Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Waltham Forest
Salary: £150 to £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Waltham Forest. The school caters for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and differentiate lessons tailored to the needs of students with MLD, ASC and SEMH.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support learning.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and other professionals to provide a consistent and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, maintaining detailed records and reports.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching in an SEN setting, particularly with MLD, ASC or SEMH students.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching.
  • A compassionate and nurturing attitude towards students with additional needs.
