Job Title: KS2 SEN TA
Location: Stockport
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long Term

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stockport is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support in a Key Stage 2 classroom. This role is ideal for someone with a proven background in UK schools and a genuine commitment to helping every child thrive.
Key Responsibilities of the KS2 SEN TA:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to KS2 pupils with additional learning needs.
- Assist with planning and delivering targeted interventions and personalised learning strategies.
- Support classroom activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Monitor pupil progress, behaviour, and engagement, and contribute to EHCP targets.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic growth.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
Requirements of the KS2 SEN TA:
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant in a UK primary school (essential)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly in KS2
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA, SEN training) are advantageous.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
