Salary: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a caring and inclusive early year setting in Rotherham. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a play-based, child-centered environment.

Role Overview:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll support the development, learning, and care of children aged 0–5. You will help create a safe and engaging setting where every child can grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.

Responsibilities as Early Years Practitioner:

  • Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with colleagues and parents.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to meet children’s needs.
  • Assist with mealtimes, personal care, and hygiene routines as required.


We are looking for Early Years Practitioner who:

  • Holds a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
  • Has experience working in a nursery or early years classroom.
  • Understands the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Is warm, patient, and able to build strong relationships with children and families.
  • Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).
  • Can provide a CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps.
