Job Title: KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 at a welcoming school in Doncaster. Starting this September, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys working closely with children and helping them grow academically and socially.

Role Overview:
As a KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll support classroom teachers by helping pupils with their learning and development. You’ll assist with lesson activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for children.

Responsibilities as Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide in-class support across KS1 and KS2.
  • Assist pupils with varying needs on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Support teaching staff with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and focused learning environment.
  • Help track pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.

Requirements for TA:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Familiarity with the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
  • A caring, proactive, and adaptable approach.
  • A full CV with any employment gaps explained.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
