Rate: £95 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you enthusiastic about Physical Education (PE) and eager to help young people grow through sport and activity? GSL Education are looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join a vibrant school in Blyth as a PE Support Assistant.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a PE Support in Blyth, you’ll work closely with PE teachers to deliver dynamic and inclusive lessons. You’ll play a key role in encouraging pupils to participate, develop their physical abilities, and enjoy being active.

Your responsibilities as PE Support will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of PE lessons across various sports and activities
  • Supporting pupils in improving coordination, fitness, and teamwork
  • Promoting positive behaviour and active participation
  • Helping to set up equipment and prepare sports facilities
  • Contributing to school sports events and after-school clubs
  • Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all students

What We’re Looking in PE Support:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a sports or PE setting
  • A solid understanding of physical education and school sport
  • A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to engage and motivate pupils
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Sports or PE-related qualifications are a bonus, but not essential
  • A current, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • A CV covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps
