Job Title: 1:1 SEN TA – Complex Needs
Location: Bexhill
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Bexhill is seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil with complex needs.
Responsibilities of the 1:1 SEN TA:
- Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with complex learning and/or physical needs.
- Assist with personalised learning activities tailored to the pupil’s EHCP.
- Support communication, sensory, and emotional needs throughout the day.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, therapists, and families to implement support plans.
- Assist with personal care tasks and mobility support if required.
- Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and development milestones.
- Help maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly complex or additional needs.
- A calm, nurturing, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow care and education plans effectively.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN-specific training) are desirable.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
