Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEN & Mainstream
Location: Pevensey
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Pevensey is looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils across both mainstream classrooms and SEN provision.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant – SEN & Mainstream:
- Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Assist with personal care or sensory support if required.
- Help promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and behaviour, reporting observations to staff.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
- Knowledge or experience of supporting SEN pupils is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, childcare, SEN) are advantageous.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
