Location: East Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging lessons, inspiring students with your subject knowledge, and promoting the importance of nutrition, food preparation, and life skills. You’ll join a well-resourced department that is committed to high standards and creative teaching approaches.

As a Food Technology Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that are engaging and relevant to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Designing practical and theory-based activities that build essential culinary skills and food knowledge
  • Assessing student progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues to support the department’s development and contribute to whole-school initiatives
  • Promoting health, safety, and hygiene standards within the food technology classroom

To be considered for the Food Technology Teacher role, you must:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Food Technology in UK secondary schools (ECTs welcome)
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a proactive teaching approach
  • Be passionate about food education, health, and well-being
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
