Salary: £94 – £115 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and proactive PE Graduates to work as Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants in secondary schools across Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity to build valuable experience, support young learners, and inspire a positive approach to physical activity and education.

Your Role as a PE Graduate:

  • Lead pre-set lessons as a Cover Supervisor in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Assist PE departments in delivering engaging sports lessons and organising extra-curricular activities.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support, both academically and behaviourally.

  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and positive behaviour in the classroom and during sports.

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.

We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject.

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their wellbeing.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.

  • A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable, not essential).

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
