SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start | PMLD & ASC Focus |

Location: Wandsworth

Start Date: September 2025
Daily Rate: £85 – £105+ | PAYE or Umbrella
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Monday – Friday

Do you have PEG feeding training and experience working with learners with PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)?

About the Role:

This September-start opportunity is based at a highly regarded SEN school that supports students aged 4–19 with a range of complex learning and medical needs. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, skilled staff, and strong multi-agency support.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis, primarily those with PMLD and ASC
  • Work with non-verbal students using communication systems such as PECS and Makaton
  • Assist with sensory activities, emotional regulation, and daily routines
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, manual handling, and PEG feeding
  • Collaborate with therapists, teachers, and families to ensure individualised care

Candidate Requirements:

  • Essential: PEG feeding training and experience
  • Experience working with PMLD and/or ASC learners
  • Confident supporting personal care and mobility needs
  • Calm, patient and able to remain composed under pressure
  • Enthusiastic, team-oriented and passionate about inclusive education
