Job Title: Restart Room Manager – Behaviour Support – Primary SEN
Location: Brighton
Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a resilient and empathetic Restart Room Manager to join a nurturing school in Brighton. This role is perfect for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.
Role Overview:
As a Restart Room Manager, you will oversee a safe and supportive space where students are given the time and guidance to regulate their emotions and reflect on their behaviour. You’ll work closely with the SEN and pastoral teams to re-integrate pupils into learning with renewed focus and confidence.
Responsibilities for Restart Room Manager:
- Lead the Restart Room to provide consistent behavioural support and intervention.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with children presenting behavioural or emotional difficulties.
- Promote restorative practices and de-escalation strategies.
- Record and monitor incidents, reporting patterns to the SENCO and leadership team.
- Build strong relationships with pupils to foster trust, respect, and positive outcomes.
Requirements for the Restart Room Manager:
- Previous experience in behaviour support, pastoral care, or SEN environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach to challenging behaviour.
- Ability to work effectively with teaching staff and external professionals.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
