Salary: £11 – £13 per hour (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a School Cleaner to join a welcoming Primary School in Eastbourne. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operations of a nurturing school setting by ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Role Overview:
As a School Cleaner, you will work as part of the site team to maintain cleanliness throughout the school premises, ensuring all areas are sanitary, presentable, and conducive to learning.
Responsibilities for School Cleaner:
- Perform general cleaning duties including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and staff areas.
- Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are used safely and appropriately.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
- Work independently or as part of a team to ensure daily cleaning standards are met.
- Support any additional cleaning tasks required during term or holiday times.
Requirements for the School Cleaner Role:
- Prior cleaning experience in a school or similar environment is desirable.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures and COSHH regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently and follow set routines.
- A proactive, trustworthy, and responsible attitude.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
