Job Title: Primary Teacher – EYFS/KS1
Location: Hailsham
Salary: £120 - £200 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

An inclusive and supportive primary school in Hailsham is seeking a passionate EYFS/KS1 Teacher to join their dedicated team. Whether you’re an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is a fantastic opportunity to shape the early stages of learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS or KS1 national curriculum
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Promote pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development alongside academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets safeguarding standards.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to ensure every child thrives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Experience teaching in EYFS or KS1 is desirable.
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
