Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time
Do you have a passion for supporting young learners and helping them thrive in the classroom? A friendly and inclusive primary school in Rotherham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support to the teacher, assisting with learning activities and behaviour management.
- Deliver targeted interventions to small groups or individual pupils.
- Help prepare teaching materials and classroom displays.
- Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
- Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements for Primary School Class Teacher:
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, proactive, and nurturing attitude.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
