Job Title: Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Location: Barton-upon-Humber
Salary: £120 – £180 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

Role Overview:

As an Early Career Teacher, you will be given the chance to take full responsibility for your own class, with mentoring and guidance from experienced colleagues. You’ll be expected to plan, deliver, and assess lessons, helping students to develop both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and inclusion.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Be committed to your own professional development and learning.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) achieved within the last two years.
  •  Understanding of the statutory Early Career Framework and willingness to engage fully with it .
  • Strong communication and organisational skills A passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil development.
  •  Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
