Job Title: Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Location: Louth
Salary: £120–£140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview

As an ECT, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire and challenge learners. You will be supported by experienced staff and mentors who are committed to helping you develop your teaching practice and confidence.

Key Responsibilities of Early Career Teacher (ECT):

  • Plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and resilience.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, using feedback to inform future planning.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support pupil development.
  • Adhere to school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management.

Job Requirements for Early Career Teacher (ECT):

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on the path to achieving it.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
